The Pelagic boots from Fourth Element have redefined comfort in diving footwear. These boots are the only ones on the market designed with an ergonomic footbed/insole, providing exceptional heel support, impact protection, arch support, and underfoot cushioning. The footbed incorporates a heel cup for additional heel and arch support, as well as protection from sharp objects underfoot.
Wearing these boots makes climbing ladders in full dive gear easier, and standing or walking around more comfortable due to the rigidity and support of the insole. The additional cushioning directly beneath the heel offers extra impact protection when walking with dive equipment.
The boots feature double-layer reinforcement on the top, safeguarding the foot from the pressure of the fin's boot pocket and enhancing overall comfort. The Fin-strap Retainer keeps the strap securely in place on the back of the heel, a feature that has been carefully researched and tested to work seamlessly with most diving fins available.
The cut-away design at the back of the heel minimizes stress on the Achilles tendon during finning, ensuring greater comfort even during extended dives. A common issue with dive boots is the zip sliding down during a dive, allowing water to seep in and causing cold feet. The Pelagic boots' heavy-duty zip and zip-stopper effectively reduce the risk of this happening, keeping the top of the boot tightly secured around the ankle.
Crafted with 6.5mm neoprene, the Pelagic boots are lightweight yet durable, with a hardwearing outsole that completes the package.
