Designed with both comfort and utility in mind, the minimalist construction delivers outstanding performance when worn under drysuits.

In a layering system, the Arctic socks are suitable for use underneath neoprene, membrane, and tri-laminate suits. The combination of fast-wicking and high-insulation fabrics creates a micro-climate around the diver, keeping the body dry and warm. The high-density inner fleece provides superior insulation with maximum comfort and wicking, while the resin-coated outer layer ensures a snug fit and enhanced durability.

The Arctic socks require less loft to perform effectively due to more efficient air management within the fabric fibers. Instead of maximizing the thickness of the air layer near the skin, the Arctic minimizes air movement, reducing the rate of cooling without the risk of trapping air and preventing its release from the dump valve.

Even when wet, the Arctic retains a significant degree of its thermal performance, allowing divers to complete dives in relative comfort, even in the event of fundamental drysuit failures. In some cases, divers have not noticed a leak in the neck or wrist seal until after the dive, testament to the outstanding performance of the fourth element Arctic.
